Week
in review:
-
The Markets
– Despite
a 3.4 percent rise in U.S. gross domestic product that beat
predictions for the second quarter, the markets continued a two-day
tumble on Friday that left the Dow and the S&P 500 with their worst
week in five years. The Dow dropped 4.23 percent to end at 13,265.47 –
756 points below its record the week before. The S&P dropped 4.90
percent to finish the week at 1,458.95, its worst decline since July
2002. The NASDAQ fell 4.66 percent to close at 2,562.24. If you're
concerned stock prices will go lower (a lot of folks are), it's a good
sign. The markets love to move contrarian to mass belief.
-
Buy'em Back
– As most
US stock indexes plummet over 2 percent on Thursday, 29 companies
announced they will be initiating buy back programs in their own
shares, the most in one day since 9/11/01. (Source: Charles Bidderman

After Work
- The nation’s retirement savings reached a record $16.4 trillion in
2006, an 11% increase from the prior year and a 55% increase since
2002, according to new analysis released today. Retirement assets now
account for nearly 40% of household financial assets, up from 24% two
decades ago. (Source: Investment Company Institute)
-
Big Hearts
– When measured as a
percentage of the size of a country’s economy, donations to charities
by Americans in 2006 ranked #1 in the world and were more than two
times as large as that of the donations made by citizens of Britain,
who came in second place. (Source: USA Today, Charities Aid
Foundation)

Important Performance Disclosure Information
|
Asset
Class returns are represented by market indexes that are
unmanaged baskets of securities. Investors cannot directly
invest in market indexes. Foreign securities involve additional
risks, including foreign currency changes, political risks,
foreign taxes and different methods of accounting and financial
reporting.
Portfolio Performance is the total return of
seven unique asset allocation strategies that seek to fit the
distinct needs of different investor goals, risk tolerance
levels and investment time horizon. Each portfolio contains up
to 16 individual funds totaling over 4000 securities, managed by
OppenheimerFunds.
The portfolios are designed to create efficient diversification
through the selection of mutual funds that may have a low
correlation between asset classes.
The purpose of these tables and charts is for you to follow
specific market indexes, observe asset class rotation and to
compare actual portfolio returns net of management fees.
Asset allocation strategy is available
here.
Performance
quoted is past performance and cannot guarantee comparable
future results. Performance figures reflect reinvestment of
distributions and changes in net asset value (NAV). Investment
return and principal value will vary so that you may have a gain
or loss when you sell shares. The contingent deferred sales
charge (CDSC) on Class C is 1%. No CDSC will be imposed on redemptions
of Class C shares following one year from date shares were
purchased. Performance shown does not include applicable CDSC,
which would have reduced performance.
Before
investing in any of the
OppenheimerFunds, investors should
carefully consider a fund's investment objectives, risks,
charges and expenses. The fund's prospectus contains this and
other information about the fund. Read prospectuses
carefully before investing.
