Here's another test of the 16-35L wide open performance. Since I had to manually focus the off center subject, I took several frames in each set-up to insure a direct comparison. All four examples were run through iCorrect's Editlab and sharpened with Nik Pro (same settings for all). Yes, the high values are blown out in the 16-35L shot, because I moved one of barn doors on the tungsten head, but this is the best of my focusing attempts. |

Even though the 35 beats out the L at 2.8. $1400 gets you a beautifully made and engineered lens with better color and contrast.
